Christian Education for Children

Our children’s Sunday School program meets from 8:45 to 9:45 on Sunday mornings between Labor Day and Memorial Day weekends. First Presbyterian offers classes that incorporate Bible stories, crafts, activities, scripture memorization, music, and mission opportunities for young ones as they learn about what it means to be part of the Body of Christ. Classes using age-appropriate curriculum are available for children 4 years old and up. Children’s Sunday School is also one of the ways our congregants hand down the love and grace of Christ through their particular gifts of teaching, musical leadership, and creativity. BIBLE SCHOOL

First Presbyterian partners with the United Methodist Church of Berthoud to put on Vacation Bible School every summer. This partnership has not only provided a larger and more energetic group for VBS, it has also given our churches a chance to work together towards a common goal of coming together to share God’s love with the children of both of our churches and our whole community. VBS not only provides an opportunity for children, but gives adults a change to plug in as well; volunteers and leaders from both churches help to make the week fun, exciting, and meaningful for all those who attend.
