Music has always been an important part of our worship life at First Presbyterian. Music is one of God’s great gifts of creation, and gives each of us creative and powerful ways to give voice to our walk with Christ. The music ministries of First Presbyterian work to lead the Body of Christ in worship creatively and through the use of the talents and gifts of the congregation.
The Chancel Choir has always been a mainstay of worship at First Presbyterian Church. The choir sings as part of worship every Sunday and practices every Wednesday evening at 7:00 between Labor Day and Memorial Day. All with a desire to share their musical talents are welcome to join.
Musical gifts are also offered through special music during the summer and throughout the year. Soloists (both vocal and instrumental), groups, and children’s choir are a few examples of the different musical offerings our parishioners have given to God during worship. Those interested in offering their gifts in this way should talk to the pastor.
